Seasons in the Park restaurant situated in beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park is known for their West Coast dining for their quality, attentive service and amazing view of Vancouver skyline. Expect a white tablecloth dining experience. As reservations aren’t always necessary, it doesn’t hurt to make one especially if you plan to dine there on a popular dining evening.

Dine out when the sky is clear either during the day or evening as you can enjoy the view of the Vancouver skyline while sipping on a cocktail or a glass of the wine of your choice.

Upon entry, we were greeted by a couple of hostesses who lead us to our seats. As walking to the table, there is a lounge area on the left hand side perfect for just hanging out or waiting for your table while enjoying the poison of your choice. Outside is a medium sized patio with a fireplace perfect for taking in the fresh air while enjoying Mother Nature.

We started off with a couple of cocktails and martinis just to get our palates wet. As they don’t have a lot to offer in terms of mixed drinks, you won’t be disappointed with the extensive wine selections they carry. Available in full or half bottles and by the glass perfect for sampling interesting wines or pairing with a particular dish.

For appetizers we ordered Seasons Famous Stuffed Mushrooms (crab, shrimp, scallions, emmenthal & cream cheeses), Carrot and Ginger soup (cilantro chantilly, chive oil) and Dungeness Crabs and Risotto Cakes (roasted pepper coulis, preserved lemon aioli). The mushrooms are baked with a lot of cheese so it ends up being very rich. If your server does not warn you, this is very hot so wait a few minutes before diving your fork in. The cakes were very light and delectable and come with a rich creamy sauce that you can dip into.

For our mains, we ordered the Lemon Herb Crusted Rack of lamb (with grainy mustard jus garnished with rosemary) and the Pan Seared Filet of Wild Salmon (with kaffir lime lemon grass butter sauce) both served with mash potatoes and steamed vegetables. The lamb is cooked to your specifications.

To end the evening we ordered the Little Brownie Mountain (vanilla ice cream, caramel, chocolate sauce, candied almonds, chantilly cream) and the Vanilla Crème Brûlée. The Little Brownie Mountain is loaded with ice cream and the brownie is nor on the rich or sweet side. Coming from the love of desserts, the brownie could be richer so with ice cream and the chantilly cream, the taste would be smooth and creamy. I found myself just eating the ice cream and leaving the brownie behind, but I will leave that up to you to decide on that. The Vanilla Crème Brûlée is rich with a creamy egg taste rather than custardy that most restaurants tend to serve.

Parking can be challenging, as there are plenty around, the restaurant also offers valet parking if you would like to avoid having to driving around.

It is one of the perfect places for impressing your date with the fine dining atmosphere and the gorgeous view. Being in Queen Elizabeth Park, you can go for a romantic walk before or after dinner in the moonlight under the stars.
